Privacy Policy
We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). 1. Data Storage on Own Infrastructure
Security through data sovereignty: We host our website and the corresponding backend services on our own root server infrastructure. Your personal data is not stored in opaque global cloud systems but remains under our direct control on systems in certified data centers in Switzerland and Germany. This guarantees a high standard of protection and prevents unwanted data outflow to third-party providers.
2. Data Collection and Processing (Website)
When accessing our website, the system automatically collects general log information (e.g., browser type, operating system, IP address, date and time of access). This collection is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR) in maintaining the stability, error analysis, and security of our root servers. This data is not merged with other data sources. If you use our contact form or contact us via email, your details, including the contact data you provide, will be stored for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions (Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR).
3. Cookies
Our website uses cookies in some instances. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer and saved by your browser. They serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Most of the cookies we use are so-called «session cookies,» which are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. You can configure your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies, allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, or exclude them entirely.
4. Google Tag Manager, AdSense & AdMob
We use the Google Tag Manager to manage website tags. In addition, the website uses Google AdSense and our mobile apps use Google AdMob for the personalized delivery of advertisements. The provider is Google Ireland Limited. These services use cookies and similar technologies, through which usage data (including your IP address) is transmitted to Google servers (possibly in the USA) and processed there. The use of these advertising services is based exclusively on your explicit consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR), which you can revoke at any time in your device or browser settings.
5. Amazon Affiliate Program
Dominique Blake-Hofer is a participant in the Amazon Europe Core S.à r.l. affiliate program. This program is designed to provide a means for websites to earn advertising fees by placing advertisements and linking to Amazon. Amazon uses cookies to trace the origin of the respective orders. Further information on data usage by Amazon can be found in Amazon’s privacy policy.
6. Data Collection within the Mobile Apps
In our mobile applications, we strictly adhere to the principle of data minimization. The following data is processed:
A. DBH Crypto Watcher:
- To manage and limit API requests, we generate pseudonymous device IDs. Tracing this back to your actual identity is not possible.
- Your wallet addresses are temporarily transmitted to our backend to query the current balance via the blockchain. They are not permanently stored or linked to your device.
B. Universal IP Calc:
- The integrated network scanner processes IP and MAC addresses strictly locally on your device within your own network. This sensitive network data is never transmitted to us or third parties.
C. Axis Shift:
- For the functionality of the global high score list (Top 10), you can optionally enter a freely chosen name (e.g., 3-letter initials). This name is stored together with your achieved score on our own root server infrastructure. There is no link to your real identity or device ID.
- Local settings and game progress are stored exclusively locally on your device.
Shared across all Apps:
- In-app purchases are securely processed via the Google Play Store Billing API. We do not receive or store any credit card or payment data.
- Crash reports and pseudonymized analytics events are evaluated exclusively on our own root server infrastructure to improve the apps.
7. Biometric Data & Security
If you protect our apps using biometric features (Fingerprint, FaceID), the authentication takes place exclusively via the Secure Enclave or the local keystore of your device. We, as the app developer, never have access to your biometric data.
8. Third-Party Interfaces (Blockchain & Network)
To provide app functionalities, our applications communicate with external interfaces for technical reasons (e.g., Public RPC Nodes of blockchains or Google DNS). During these server calls, your IP address (and in the case of the Crypto Watcher, the wallet address to be checked) is systemically transmitted to the respective interface provider.
9. SSL/TLS Encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site and the APIs of our apps use state-of-the-art SSL or TLS encryption (HTTPS). You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address line changes from «http://» to «https://» and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
10. Your Rights
Within the scope of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin, the recipient, and the purpose of data processing at any time (Art. 15 GDPR). You also have the right to request the correction (Art. 16 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), or deletion (Art. 17 GDPR) of this data. Furthermore, you can revoke any consent given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR) and have the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). You can contact us at any time at the address given above regarding this and other questions on the subject of personal data.
